Smaller Frolic

Today I didn't visit Mum, for only the second day since she was admitted to hospital nearly 7 weeks ago. I used the time to finish assembling my Frolic made of the left-overs of the first one:

I rang the hospital to clarify the new visiting arrangements, and they had changed their mind since yesterday. Today's rules are that family members can visit, but no more than two and for only 10 to 15 minutes a day.

Very nice Frolic. That many leftovers? Ack! I just got my blocks on the design wall yesterday. Still have to sew the side bits.

I realized last week that it's quite possible that my parents may never see each other again. Dad's nursing home locked down to no visitors last week. This week mom's independent living locked down to no visitors and residents quarantined to their apartments. I doubt I'll be able to go home for dad's 97th birthday in early May.

Lovely petite Frolic finish--a lot of piecing in there;)))
Visiting elderly parents is difficult for sure; hope you can get to see her -- hard choices i know...hugs, Julierose

Beautiful Frolic. We are also in quarantine, I can't go to mommy. I'm still sewing my masks. Marie

I like the smaller version.

So your week ended well, with good news and a very pretty little quilt. In these strange times we need all the positive stories we can get.

What a wonderful quilt top, so many colors and small pieces!
This must be so difficult for both you and your mother. The situation is changing by the day and we do't know what will happen next. Take care.

Loving your Frolic Round Two!! A few weeks ago, one of our local nursing homes stopped allowing all visitors. This pandemic is hard on patients as well as their families but we have to abide since they are the most vulnerable to this infection. Very tough times all around!

Good for you using up your leftovers!
