What will happen when the last bolt gives way?


I have a feeling it will involve the electricity company coming out and disconnecting the power to the property, then the electrician moving the "point of attachment" to a different spot, then having the power re-connected. Then some repair work on the woodwork, and then some painting. It all sounds expensive.

Every Thursday morning at about 9:30 I see this on my way to work.


Those who don't have to go to work enjoying a morning coffee in the mall.

Productive Sewing

Finished the garments I cut out 2 days ago.

Squares

So now I've got 80 of these.

Blackout

Cut out about 90 white triangles, and two whole garments, while waiting for the electricity to come back on. Then I sewed more triangles to the ones from the 12th.

Visiting

Computer games might be more interesting than visitors.

Goldfish

Got some friends for my remaining goldfish.

Chain-pieced some triangles to relax after work.


Later they will get a few other bits added to them, to make a block called "Leap frog" designed by Bonnie Hunter. One day they will be a quilt...

Organising

Organised my quilting fabric by colour.


There are more of some colours than I expected.

Overcoming the Block

For nearly a month I've done nothing on my Red Delicious quilt, because I couldn't get the thorns to work in this block.


Today I decided that my roses didn't have to have thorns.

Airconditioning

To escape the heat, (and take advantage of cheap Monday tickets), I saw the film in cinema 11, followed by the one in cinema 5.

Keeping my Distance

Stood well back as the bees were checked on for the first time.

Sister

Spent the afternoon with my sister, who is visiting from interstate.

We shared that flourless chocolate cake, and it was very good.

Iris

Planted some "free-cycled" iris rhizomes.



Hope they will survive - it seems too hot to be transplanting them at the moment.

Yellow Gum

Flowers on one of my eucalypts.


It is Eucalyptus leucoxylon (yellow gum) 'Eukie Dwarf'.

Eggs

What good chooks. 3 eggs again today.

Mulch

Had a load of mulch delivered, then spent the rest of the day moving it.

Yummy Stuff

Went to a friend's place for quilting and afternoon tea.
