The shade sail going up out the front of the house:
The sun doesn't come into the house at this time of year, but the glare does. The shade sail cuts down glare off the concrete and from the sky.
Water lilies opening:
The pink one has three flowers open today.
This is the only white one so far.

Hi Vireya the shade sail is a great idea to stop the glare, love those lilies.
We have a lot of glaring here, too--hard to tolerate. The shade sail looks like a great idea...
Your water lilies are amazing--beautiful hugs, Julierose
I love these annual routines and observations, they mark the beginning of new things, all hopefully good. They are also a little reminder of seasons past and the pleasure they brought.
The start of summer. I know it is warming up when the sun changes direction through our front windows and the rays suddenly hit the side of a quilt hanging in my dining room.
The waterlillies are gorgeous! You live in a lovely place.
