For the last couple of days I've been making extra units for the En Provence mystery quilt. Today I finally got to the point of assembling blocks.
First block:
I'm adding the sashing to two sides of each block as I go, so that the final assembly will be that much easier. I've also started assembling the border pieces:
A bit later this afternoon I had two blocks:
And much later, three:
So I'm roughly a third of the way through the assembly process.

The pattern is slowing becoming visible. Clever idea attaching the sashing as you go.
Very nice. Your yellows are good. I am so indecesive this year about my yellow colour. It is mostly bright yellows in my stash and I do not want my quilt to go too bright this year. it is not a yellow year at my local quiltshop either. Maybe I make a smaller quilt.
Yes, you can definitely see the pattern coming out, great idea re. attaching 2 side sash pieces as you go.
I need to reassess and see how big I am going to make mine. Looks great.
Looking good! Love your scrappiness :)
I'm still trimming Part 7, and trying to decide 'how big' I want to do mine, so haven't done all of parts 1, 3, & 5 yet.
Good luck with choosing your colours, Bente. You might get some inspiration from the link-up when it happens. Sorry I can't reply by email - your address is hidden.
I haven't done any of part 7 yet. Hubby and I decided to go for a trip through SA for a few days. Hopefully I'll get it done next week.
