Setting Up

From 9:00am to nearly 4:00pm. That's how long it took to get everything set up for our quilt show.

I didn't take any photos of the early stages, but the process was pretty much the same as last time. Here's a few photos taken during the day:
There is a section of red and white quilts, and this table of goodies is set up near the entrance.

Adding chains to lower some of the smaller quilts to comfortable viewing height:

Some of the quilts from our "Circle" challenge last year:
One of my jobs was pinning the laminated info sheets to the quilts. Someone else distributed them (you can see a couple on the floor at the left), then I just had to make sure I put the correct info on each quilt. I caught a couple of mistakes, but I think everything was correct by the end of the day.

I did not realise that our hoop quilts were going to be free-hanging:
I thought the were going to be displayed on a board. If I had known, I would have done something about covering the back of mine. Unfortunately at any given time it seemed more than half of the hoops were facing away from the viewer.

View from the stage, close to the end of the set-up:

And when I got home, I found that my peony had started to open:

That view from the stage shows how high the ceiling is in the hall. It is a great venue for the quilt show.
Your peony is stunning.

Thanks for the quilt show pictures, great to see all the lovely work. Think we had two frosts, I stayed in bed and thought, hmmm its cold must be a frost....not at my brilliant best at that time of day! So frost damage will be evident in my garden, except for Tomatoes as they got planted Sunday!
