Speedy Planting

How to plant 120 bulbs in under half an hour:
This "garden auger" drill bit was one of my birthday presents, along with a box of several hundred assorted spring bulbs. This afternoon we planted 120 daffodils and jonquils very quickly!

They will look lovely when they flower.

You will rival Kyneton with that planting.

Well done, being new bulbs at least you didn’t have to clean the old skins off like the 150+ that I dug up.

What a great tool--( I won't "augur"-- lol-- that point!!) Great way to avoid hand/srist strains...hugs, Julierose

Hmm disappointing I was expecting to see lots of mud! Not as much rain or just sandy soil that drains? Lucky you had the auger, otherwise it would have been hard digging all those holes. The previous owners left us lots of lovely daffodils and I love seeing them in spring. You are going to have a wonderful display with that many.

I love bulbs! I try to plant at least a few every year and have the most daffodils of anyone in the neighborhood. (Not that it's a contest.)
