Fifty-One Years Later

I didn't expect these three people would ever meet again, but here we are. I last saw my brother nearly 5 years ago, but it's been 35 years since my sister saw him.

  1. I hope you had a wonderful time catching up together. Family is so important.

  2. Families come in many styles. The three of you look happy and well in both pictures. I must say that your brother looks more like you now than he did as a little fellow all those years ago. I'm like your sister in that I am content to love my family, but distance and time apart are really favourable.

    1. He and I both have grey hair, but there are good reasons why he doesn't look like the rest of the family. See the linked page from 5 years ago for details.

All three of us live in different parts of the country. My sister visits once or twice a year, but this is only the second time I've seen my brother in 35 years.

  3. Thanks for sharing this special day for your sister and brother, and that you all now have a comfortable relationship. Not so much with that impractical 60s clothing though.

  4. The title alluded to a story. Glad you posted the link. Time and place and belonging is difficult. Resolution is not easy but so glad you are able to walk that road.

  5. Hope the reunion was all you wanted it to be. You look really happy.
