November

 I can't believe it is November already. This year has been a bit of a write-off.


But it has been a good year for tiny orchids:

This is a musky caps orchid, Caladenia moschata, growing on our property. You can get an idea of how small it is from my finger.


We have two new arrivals in the menagerie:

These two pullets arrived a few days ago but I forgot to take a photo at the time. They are settling in slowly. For the first couple of days they hid in the chook shed and wouldn't come out, but they have a bit more confidence now.


And last but not least, the first daylily to open without being wrecked by slugs or snails:

Lovely daylily--mine have all gone to sleep underground before Winter hits us in full force--just a few dried leaves left among the browned ferns...so floral images are so nice...thanks Julierose
