At the Falls

With recent rain, the Lal Lal Falls are flowing again. We drove down to the falls a couple of days ago to have a look, took one look at the huge crowds of people, and kept driving and went straight back home. Today the crowds were much smaller, so we got out and had a look:

As we were walking around the reserve the dogs alerted us to the presence of some wildlife:

Photographing the echidna they found, to add to iNaturalist and EchidnaCSI:

It was a long way down there, so I stayed with the dogs and didn't get a photo of it myself.

Dot got excited about a kangaroo footprint in some soft ground, and tried to dig down and find the kangaroo. Or something...

Looking cute with her nose covered in dirt:

Those Falls are beautiful--that is a funny picture of Dot's dirt caked nose--happy to hear you were able to get out into Nature..so calming...

Wow! Beautiful falls. Cute dogs. That echidna is fascinating. Many years ago, when we immigrated to Canada there was an option to move to Australia instead. I'm not sure who made the decision, but I often think that your world would have been much more interesting!

Falls are enchanting. The dogs are very entertaining! They probably enjoy the outing as much as you do.

That’s a lot of water coming over the falls, shows how much rain we have had and more to come. Sitting by a waterfall is very relaxing.

Dot is looking extremely cute. Did she catch a worm with her nose?
