Took a long drive in the rain, to visit parts of the state unknown to me. This is the only patchwork shop I saw on the trip:
And it was closed, unfortunately.
The largest nugget discovered, The Welcome Stranger, was cut into pieces on this anvil so that the parts could be weighed:
The Dunolly Bakery has nice cakes. This is a lime cheesecake:
And it has a nice wide verandah to protect you from the rain while you scoff down the cakes!
Probably also handy in summer.
Dunolly wasn't our destination, but it was a nice spot to stop along the way. Just a pity about that patchwork shop!
