Last Persimmon

The leaves have all fallen since last Sunday,
and today I ate this last fruit on my "Fuyu" persimmon tree (Diospyros kaki).

When I was a child, in the yard of our house there was a Kaki tree. I love this fruit. It carrys the flavor of my childwood. I played almost everyday under its tree. So many memories...

I've never eaten a persimmon but it must be nice to have a producing tree right there in your yard.
