Lunch Time
Nom nom nom...
Saw these sparrows during my lunch break. I presume posters are stuck up with a starch paste? Are the sparrows eating the paste, or finding insects that are eating the paste? I don't know, but looking at the state of the posters, this seems to be a regular hangout for the sparrows.

Great shot Vireya. I have read that Sparrows (and some other birds) will peck at mortar, especially in older walls which are pre Portland cement, to get the lime which gives them a calcium supply.

The birds in your picture however, look to be feeding on the face of the bricks as well. I think your starch idea could be a valid one.
