My Christmas tree was purchased in either 1982 or 1983. Here's the label on its box:

The tree cost $14.25 from either Woolworths or Big W - can anyone remember which used this logo?
The cost averages out to 36 cents a year, which seems like pretty good value. It probably has a few years left in it, although a couple of leafy bits have broken off.
This is my first Christmas as an orphan, my siblings both live interstate, and my son has other plans. I'll catch up with him in the next week. I haven't been feeling very Christmassy, but I have put up the tree again to try to get in the mood:

We were supposed to go to my brothers but SIL has covid so we stayed home. Daughter has plans to be with friends so we are home alone too.

Did the dumpster fire ornament not make it to the tree this year? Otherwise it is looking very festive and living up to its no fade promise.

Our was 'interesting' - Not getting that email to Santa about removing the Chimney, the Grinch Stealing Christmas and the local bakery giving us 14 Lemon tarts instead of a 'mixed assortment' of Cakes & Pastries for Christmas Lunch it will be a Christmas to remember!

Ours was a quiet Christmas too with my 97 yr old Mum in lockdown in her Aged Care Facility. Just husband, one son & a 94 yr old uncle. It was nice & we had lots of laughs listening to my Uncle reminisce about teen age years in Scotland. You put up a tree & that's far more than I got around to doing. Hope 23 is a year full of peace and comfort.
