I'm still working on the old slow laptop, with low screen resolution so I'm not sure what these photos will be like on a proper screen. My replacement is on its way, but won't get here until next week now.

Instead of doing the current Bonnie Hunter mystery I am working on getting a few half-done projects out of the way.
My Hippeastrum (amaryllis to those in North America) bud is getting closer to being open:
It looks like there are two flowers happening. Exciting!

Lovely to see summer coming in your garden, while it is freezing at my end of the world. ;) Enjoy your garden, Hope the mulch will help.
We have the wood chips in our orchard, but had never heard that they were afire danger. They are great for weeds and mud. Nice to see your blooms.
Oh how exciting to see that amaryllis bud about to open...I didn't manage to get one yet this year--but maybe there will be some left still...I really like all the colors--it's so hard to choose;))) hugs, Julierose

The backyard is looking lovely & lush and green! I have been noticing a lot more butterflies around lately - and unfortunately a LOT of mozzies too!
The mulch looks very effective, here's hoping it keeps the weeds away. So nice to see your courtyard in the sun, even if only briefly now the rain is back again.
