The End of Autumn

I've gone back to part 5 of the Laundry Basket Quilts mystery, which I had skipped over. Here is why:

I wanted to make this as one piece rather than as two blocks with a seam down the middle. That involved a bit of maths or perhaps just drawing what I wanted on a piece of paper and measuring that centre square. Although actually doing part 7 before this was handy because it gave the measurement I needed.

So yesterday I made one half of this, and today I made the second half.

This is my first post done with the new Blogger interface, and I am a bit lost so far. Finding stuff is not easy, although I finally figured out how to make that photo a bit bigger.

Stash report for the end of May:

Thread:
No spools emptied, none added.
Year to date - no change.

Dress fabric:
None used, none added.
Year to date - up 4.25m.

Quilt fabric:
3.7m used, 3.2m added
Year to date - down 6.25m.

Can see why you did not want the seam. What cute fabric!

Very nice "new" block!! The new blogger seems to be difficult from what I've heard--or at the very least a real "pain"...now why do they have to go and do this?? I tried it once and reverted back....
makes me wonder if I should just pack it in...Julierose

The block looks great...
Pleased you worked out how to navigate the new blogger.
Seems we'll have no choice but to go with the new look after July so may need help...

I just changed over to the new blogger interface and trying to write a post and it has frozen twice so given up! But it frustrates the heck out of me that it double checks you really want to read that post you clicked on in the reading list WTF is that all about?? you would think they would be trying to streamline stuff not make it more complext!

Pretty block! I like the center you chose. I'm not looking forward to the blogger change. I had a look at it and changed back. Why do they do this?
