I got a bit carried away and did two blocks today:

Blocks look fabulous!
I have joined mine with only 1 piece of washing. I love mine.
Obviously the machine appliqué is now all under control.
Wouldn't it be fun if sunflowers grew paperclips instead of seeds. We could plant them and get all sorts of useful stationery items.
