Most definitely not, sounds quite scary! I saw a full page " advertorial" for insinkerators in The Age's home special recently, raving about how good they are for the environment - pulsing food scaps and then pumping it down the sewage pipes. Hmmm ... I still prefer our system to deal with food waste - feed it to the chooks, worms and rabbit!
de-ranged huh! lol, wonder what they meant? We used to have an insinkerator because the previous Mrs G wanted one. I compost etc so it was not needed, so eventually 'won the battle' and had it removed. :-)

Yes, between our dogs, chooks, wormfarm and compost pile, there is no need to send any food scraps off the property!
One of the most ridiculous products on the market. It is deranged! Nothing environmentally friendly about them. Compost is a gardener's best friend.
Vireya, I am sorry about the double posts. It seems to always happen when I comment on your blog. I have no idea what I am doing wrong.
