First, almond blossom looking dainty. The bees were coming and going, so I hope that means we will have lots of almonds.

Next, a more unusual plant. This is a native sundew from our block at Lal Lal, transplanted to a tub in the backyard 3 weeks ago. It's still alive, and is flowering today.

Lastly, my vireya "Chayya" has opened for the first time since being scorched by a high temperatures in early 2009.

The sundew would be a Drosera whittakeri ssp. aberrans (Whittakers Sundew) I have them growing at my block as well!
They have tiny tubers on them so that they can survive summer with no water.
Thanks for identifying the sundew!
Harray! So lovely to see a Chayya flowering on your blog, my grandfather made the Chayya cross, it was named after me!
Wow, Chay-Ya, that's exciting! Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment!
