Begonia Quilters Show

A few favourites from the Begonia Quilters show open in Ballarat this weekend:

For everyone who has ever photographed a tiling pattern thinking it would make a nice quilt! This is apparently the tile design on the first floor of the Ballarat Town Hall. I like the simple quilting, which basically outlines the "tiles". Quilt by Maxine Rousch.

I loved the quilting on this one:
Made by Lindy Hoffmann, professionally quilted by Brenda Clark.

Two striking quilts by Kerry Gadd:

Beautiful original designs and amazing precision piecing.

  1. I love the black/grey/white quilt by Kerry Gadd. Thanks for the photos, Vireya. Sorry I'm not able to attend.

  2. Great team work between piecer and quilter in the Soda Pop quilt and stunning Pineapple Block based quilt by Kerry Gadd. Fantastic use of colour. It would be lovely if these came down to Showcase this year.

  3. Thank you for sharing lots of lovely quilts you have seen recently.
Berry Delisious is looking good .

  4. As soon as I saw the first one I thought it looked just like a tiled floor in an old building ( federation/ boom era?). Very clever, all wonderful quilts!
