Freshly-laid egg collected when I let the chooks out this morning:
It wasn't warm because the temperature was colder than a fridge - 0 degrees! But the day warmed up, and just after midday I photographed the first butterfly I've seen at our place this (almost) spring:
An Australian Painted Lady.
Spring is definitely on the way for you. I must say that I’m not ready for summer to end yet. The quilt is looking beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYou must live on a very interesting property. There are so many things to see and hear, and even eat.
ReplyDeleteOooh, lovely butterfly! In our community garden I saw some Monarchs mating recently so I know they will be laying eggs and leaving us soon. Enjoy the beauty that Spring brings!
