This afternoon when I was doing some weeding I found this little critter in a pot of asparagus fern:
Maybe an Eastern Common Froglet, Crinia signifera. That was the end of the weeding, because I didn't want to risk harming it as I attacked the weeds.
I once had a frog land on my foot while I was hanging up the washing. I don't know which of us was the most surprised!
ReplyDeleteI love frogs, especially the Green Tree frog.
ReplyDeleteYou have very sharp eyes. I enjoyed learning about this frog on the internet. Your garden must be a very healthy environment if this little frog is living there.
ReplyDeleteWe know there are lots of frogs around, as we hear them at night. Seeing one is a lot rarer.
DeleteAny excuse to take a break from weeding. Very cute frog.
ReplyDeleteCute frog! We heard sooo mamy frogs when we went to Lakes Entrance last year ( but couldn't manage to actually see any!) I have a recording in my phone of 30 seconds of frog chorus, it is so loud!
