UFO Progress Report

Here's how far I got with my February UFO, Red Delicious designed by Esther Aliu, or in my case, Berry Delicious:
It's been a completed top since 2010. I basted it at the end of January this year, and now it is about 75% quilted.

I've marked on this photo the areas that still need quilting:
"A" in a block represents appliqué that still needs some quilting, and "B" represents background still to be done. Blocks with no letters are finished. Then there are the borders to do of course. But it is a lot closer to finished than it was at the beginning of February.  And when I drew up my list, I allocated this one two months, as I thought it might take more than just one to get it done. I will take a little break from this one for now, either until its number comes up again, or until I'm eager to get back to it!

Judy at Patchwork Times has selected 5 as the UFO number for March.  My 5 is Celtic Solstice, the Bonnie Hunter mystery from 2013, which has been basted ready to quilt since last February:
So this month I will work on quilting this monster quilt!

You certainly are getting the UFO list done and dusted. After all the finishing, you will have to start something new.

Oh good luck on quilting that beauty. Mine is not as far as yours, but it's not up on my UFO list yet. I think I've lost interest in that one for now.

I am impressed with your perseverance in quilting on your Berry Delicious. You have done intricate patterns and what you have finished so far looks brilliant!

Congrats on all the progress. Sometimes I think we under appreciate progress if we don't get to a finish. Good luck with your March UFO.

Well done. Your berry delicious looks lovely, but it must be very fiddly quilting around those motifs. I hope you get Celtic Solstice finished this month, in time to use it this winter!
