Summer Mystery Quilt - Step 2

Yesterday I had lunch 75km east of the city, then dinner 75km south-west of the city. I only had time to look at the second part of our mystery, but no time to sew! I took this photo of flowers on a Grevillea robusta along the way. The colours reminded me of our mystery.
Today I made a start on step 2, doing lots of preparation, but not a lot of sewing. Here are 16 completed blocks of the 100 I need.

Once Bonnie activates the link-up I will add the link here so that you can go and see what lots of other mystery makers have achieved.

Added later: Here's the link!

It looks wonderful so far. I was a little pressed for time this week too and didn't get as far as I would have liked. I am off to finish up the clue.

Yes, it looks fabulous! And the flower picture sure matches the CS color scheme.

Looking good so far. Thanks for the blue sky, green leaves & yellow flowers - we have grey sky, bare branches and snow outside right now. Your picture gave me a little lift.

Good luck with the rest of them! I think we will all get there by the end of the week.

My fingers are frozen today, so cold. Thanks for a little mental warming up. Lovely photo of the Grevillea robusta, and such lovely fabric choices - each one echos the other.

Thanks for dropping by my blog, you are so right it is hard to visit all the blogs. Love your little chevrons, lovely colors. And the flowers are gorgeous we are in the midst of winter with lots of snow.

Your colors are looking real good. Love that they match your photo. Who says these are only Ireland's colors, right? I'm still working on the last of my clue #2. Should finish before Friday.

Nice colours Vireya,
Wish I had the time to join in (maybe next year). Your opening comment sent me on a nice little Google Map tour to work out where you'd been - either direction is a trip in itself and then to get home again!! - hope it was a very good lunch!
