Blocks Assembled

While outside it was cold and windy, inside I sewed the rest of the blocks together.

Red and purple, really.I was very happy those swirleys met each other at the corner! It is not hanging quite straight here; the sashing in the bottom left is straight really. Next come the borders — first a grey one the same as the internal sashing, then something else I haven't chosen yet.

  1. As your quilt is purple and red my suggestion is 'Red Hat Delicious'

  2. Forgot to say it looks lovely. I am now wishing I had done mine in my favourite colour purple but am being strong and using colours away from my usual palette.

  3. What a lot of work that appears to have been! Well done.

  4. Thanks for the comments, Fran & Anne.

Fran, I hadn't even thought of the "red hat" connotation of my colour scheme.

Anne, yes, I've been working on this since the beginning of 2009. It's more appliqué than I ever thought I would do.
